Tips When Eating At Fast Food Restaurants
Saturday, September 18th, 2010It’s always fun hanging out with your friends having a good time and doing whatever it is you guys do. However there comes a time when everyone gets hungry, and the majority of the group wants to get fast food. You on the other hand are trying to eat healthy, but you don’t want to be an outcast when you don’t participate in eating with your friends. So here are some tips on eating healthy when you are out with your buds. Avoid pop at all costs! Pop is one of the biggest reasons fast food is so unhealthy. All the deep fried stuff must be let alone as well.
One cheeseburger and fries can contain as much as ten grams of Tran’s fat! Add a few other things like apple pie, cookies etc… you can get up to 13-15 grams of Trans fat. Think of it this way one gram of this Trans fat a day is slowly killing you, much like cigarettes. A lot of people who are very busy tend to eat a lot of fast food, and they don’t realize that they are eating anywhere from 15-30 grams of Trans fat a day! This is ridiculous.
In the morning during breakfast the best choices would be ham, eggs, or an English muffin. They also often have some sort of fruit and nut salad. These are pretty tasty and not so bad for you. If you’re going around lunch or dinner time the best choices would be a grilled chicken salad, or a grilled chicken sandwich. If you want croutons with your salad, understand that you will be eating more Tran’s fat.
